Bug#497428: Syslog errors with USB drive with restrictive (no gnome-keyring) permissions

gnome-keyring-daemon is attempting to find keys on a USB drive that I have mounted with restrictive permissions, as root, for reason, and this is resulting in numerous spurious syslog messages on each login:
