Yes, it was in the Cc.
OK, even
gconftool-2 -s /desktop/gnome/applications/browser/exec -t string /usr/bin/iceweasel
changes nothing. Still nothing happens when one clicks help. Maybe as
you said there are no help pages installed to browse in the first place?
tried
$ strace /usr/bin/transmission -p
but as the authors insist on contacting the network for paused
torrents too, the messages were too many. Tried with no torrents, but
then the mouse events were still to many.
Idea: you purge gnome-control-center and see if it breaks yours. I am
on this machine every third day and will continue then. OK, bye.
