Bug#494788: big problem

We are also experiencing the same issue, and it's a rather big deal.

The majority of the time, the problem manifests itself with a nautilus
process, continuously writing to this file ring buffer, after a user has
logged out. I'm guessing this results from gdm trying to kill off the
process when a user logs off? We've enabled a gdm PostSession script
that kills any lingering nautilus processes.

In a few cases, we've seen active users with runaway nautilus processes
as well.

I'm in the process of downgrading nautilus on all of our workstations to
the etch version, to see if the problem persists there. I'd be happy to
lend a hand debugging this issues, as we have MANY machines experiencing
the problem and it's absolutlely killing our NFS servers.

Thanks!

Mark
