In Totem's preferences, in the Display tab, there's a checkbox
labelled "Allow the screensaver to activate even when audio-only is
playing".  For me, when listening to an MP3 file, the screensaver starts only
if this option is unchecked - the opposite of what I had expected.  On
the other hand, the corresponding option in gconf is called
lock_screensaver_on_audio, and is enabled when "allow" is enabled.
