Package: gnome-power-manager
Version: 2.22.1-4
Severity: important
Three times now since my machine updated to g-p-m 2.22.1-4, I have had it bring
my laptop (Dell Latitude D820) to its knees, consuming all available memory.
Every time, it has been associated with a change in the AC status.
This afternoon, my laptop was plugged into AC power when the power went out for
about a minute. I was at the keyboard just prior to the power outage and
everything was normal. When I got back to the machine about 5 minutes after
power was restored, the system was almost completely non-responsive, thrashing
like crazy, and top showed g-p-m to be using well over 1.3 GBytes of virtual
memory.
I had to manually kill the g-p-m process.
