Package: libvte9
Version: 1:0.20.1-1
Severity: normal
Hi,
since quite some time, both in xfce4-terminal and gnome-terminal, using the
compatibility option “Automatic” for the backspace key doesn't work in
screen.
>From outside, it seems to work fine, but in screen, pressing backspace does
nothing. If setting the compatibility option to Control-H, it works, but
then it breaks some other apps when waiting for input (like svn and
openssl, iirc).
screen is at 4.0.3-13 with only the pristine /etc/screenrc.
If you need more info, please ask.
Cheers,
