Bug#541243: epiphany-gecko: address bar does not respond

Hello,

the problem is simple: when typing a web address in the address bar of
epiphany and hitting return nothing happens. 
Also, when opening a html file ("open with: epiphany") or opening a web
link a blank page is displayed.

Epiphany works if a website is selected from the bookmarks menu and when
browsing within an already opened website (e.g. clicking on the web
links displayed in the web page).

When running epiphany from terminal I get the following output:

This behavior started after I installed the epiphany-extensions-more
package and purged it due to bug #526321
(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=526321).
