Bug#559561: evince: DVI negation slashes missing

Evince does not display the negation slashes of the file:
http://www.mat.univie.ac.at/~neum/ms/notation.dvi.gz

For example, on the bottom of page 3, one sees x_{$B":(BK} and x_{=k}
instead of x_{$(Q"F(BK} and x_{$B!b(Bk}.  The same is true on page 4 where $B!H(BS $B"<(B
S', S = S'$B!I(B is displayed instead of $B!H(BS $B"<(B S', S $B!b(B S'$B!I(B.  xdvi displays
the file properly.
