Bug#443372: More information regarding mixer applet load failure

Hi,

I also intermittently experience the same symptoms (i.e., a dialog
indicating that there was a problem loading the mixer applet and no
mixer applet on the panel), but I don't know if it has the same root
cause.  On my system, .xsession-errors contains

 ** (gnome-panel:2525): WARNING **: panel-applet-frame.c:1310: failed to get Bonobo/Control interface on applet OAFIID:GNOME_MixerApplet:
 Unknown CORBA exception id: 'IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0'
