Bug#561206: gnome-shell: Slow and unusable on my intel or ati video cards BUT only with Debian.

How do i verify kms is enabled?
Does the current radeon driver support kms or was that a newer kernel?
i've been using the fglrx driver from the ati website on my desktop.

i actually found a few clutter bugs related to mine for intel cards so
i'll run gnome-shell with the vblank option and report back.
i'll try it on my ati card as well and see if that helps.
