Bug#516001: No window or icon on startup

If I start ekiga from the command line in X, nothing is printed, no
window, and no icon appear in my window manager's ("awesome") icon
area (gnome-bluez's bluetooth-applet's icon does show up). Debug log
level 5 is attached.
