The fact that there is a C++ alternative available makes it realistic to
install tomboy or gnote as part of the default installation. Previously
this was not possible because tomboy was too big for some of the
installation media, and as you explained the lack of availability on
some architectures.

So yes, this bug is clearly a good rationale for installing tomboy with
gnome; this would have been the case earlier if we had found a way.
