 I need the lv3:rwin_switch option because the PowerBook doesn't have an
right alt-key to start with. In gnome-keyboard-properties the layout is
set to Apple-Laptop, but I also tried with generic pc keyboard with 105
keys (intl). In the layout settings the key for switching to third level
is only checked for right alt key.

 Not sure if I can and should add any more informations, I'm more than
just willing to track this down - having to enter @ in an urxvt and
copying into pidgin, evolution and firefox is more than just annoying...
