I'm trying to build the packages with debian directory from previous releases.

atk 1.26.0 builds without any changes in the debian directory. pango
build fails with following error

viewer-cairo.o:(.data+0xc): undefined reference to `x_viewer'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[4]: *** [pango-view] Error 1

I have some familiarity with patching and upstream pango. I have not
created any package from scratch, but have been maintaining patched
debs for pango.
