I'm happy to try some other settings (if you tell me where they are).
But this behavior seemed to change recently without any explicit
action on my part.

If I do:
    $ zenity --entry --text 'Enter something:'
from a gnome-terminal, the focus stays in the terminal window until I
move the mouse to the zenity window.
