Bug#551590: metacity: system bell inaudible in X

After upgrading Metacity from version 1:2.26.0-3 to 1:2.28.0-1
and restarting the X session, system bell (echo -ne '\a') stopped
working in X.

In an X session without Metacity running, the bell works correctly.
