Sorry about assuming it called grandr. When I tried grandr I got the
following after clicking on apply or okay I'm not sure which. It did
change the resolution though.
I tried changing the resolution again using grandr and this time I got a
black screen. I did alt-F1 then alt-F7 to get the screen to come back.
Brent
brente at belmer:~$ grandr
The program 'grandr' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 15 error_code 8 request_code 157 minor_code 7)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error()
function.)
