Well, yes, the package name is 'hamster-applet', so it seems obvious to me it is
a regular applet. The short and long descriptions also say it's an applet. Isn't
that clear enough?

Maybe the translation should be fixed then?
If it's really not obvious at all, I'm fine with including a README.Debian file
if you can propose one.
