I have also noticed cases where the clock applet stops tracking the weather or gets out of sync.

So sometime the applet stops tracking the weather altogether. When that happens the day/night indication in the status bar will stay stuck on night for days for instance, and I no longer have weather info in the hover popup. The fix is to remove/readd the location or otherwise change it.

This morning I had another out-of-sync situation: the status bar was saying it was night while the hover popup was indicating daytime (see attachement hopefully). Now I suspect this one is just a slow refresh of the status area: daytime started at 7:43, the status bar was still indicating night at 7:46, but at 7:55 it was back to normal. Maybe the status bar is only updated every 5 minutes? Might be worth updating it on the minute of the day/night transitions.
