Bug#576386: nautilus: with --no-desktop and exit_with_last_window==false, a "quit" menu option is needed

Package: nautilus
Version: 2.28.4-1
Severity: wishlist
When nautilus is run with --no-desktop (then it
is not a desktop manager, just a file manager),
it should probably exit with the closing of its
last window. If the exit_with_last_window gconf
option is to be respected in that mode, it seems
an intuitive way to quit nautilus should be given,
and "nautilus -q" isn't it.
This is another spin-off from #570314, where an
accidentally-started nautilus was interfering with
the operation of a KDE desktop. A substantial part
of the problem was that, because the default of
exit_with_last_window has been set to false, nautilus
stayed running even though it was started --no-desktop
and all its windows were closed. Further, there
was no GUI way to make it stop, as there is no
quit menu-option and exit_with_last_window is not
controlled from the preferences dialog. Thus, it
took me quite some time to even realize it was still
running, and it was only through discussions on the
mentioned bug that I found out about the -q option
or the non-dialoged gconf preferences.
