I don’t recall having a right of veto in the team. How about trying, as
I proposed, to sit down and think of package management as a whole?
Currently I’m still feeling you are just singing “we need PackageKit” in
the rain, and are going to dance somewhere else because someone here is
unhappy about the noise.

In all cases it is a bad idea to maintain Debian packages in an external
infrastructure.
