Bug#607792: Provide GConf key to remove "Places" from the menu bar

Hi,

currently, even if the lockdown options are enabled, users cannot remove nor hide the "Places" entry from the menu bar.
Here is a patch, taken from the RedHat's bugzilla [1] (and maybe needs some work), to provide a GConf key which would give users the opportunity to do that without rebuilding the package from the sources:
