First note: please consider using a MUA which was not written by idiots
who don’t understand what is a Reply-To header.

Well, something has to run gtk_init. Whatever it is. I don’t know how
Gtk::Main works, and actually I don’t want to know, since it would mean
doing C++ and I have better things to do.

Now, since no one with knowledge of C++ and gtkmm bothered to reply, I’m
afraid you are alone in the dark with that. I’m not applying the change
you are proposing since I don’t understand its possible consequences.
The RT doesn’t consider this bug RC, it’s not going to be removed from
testing.

Bring your issue with upstream if you want it fixed, since you obviously
have a design disagreement with them. Since upstream doesn’t develop the
panel anymore, they are probably going to send you to hell. And,
frankly, I don’t care.
