I proposed your idea to g-bluetooth's maint and he told me it won't be 
done since all files are pushed to the 'Downloads' dir and he thought 
that tweaking that dir location would do the trick for most users.

well, you could open up a bug on g-bluetooth's bug tracker and request 
this directly there to receive upstream's feedback.

Just register yourself at https://bugzilla.gnome.org and report a 
wishlist bug there.

If its fine for them, I guess they will add the 'Save as' option you 
are suggesting. Let me know the bug number so I can track the progress 
on it.
