I have uploaded menu-xdg 0.5 which does not generate xsessions files for
packages that provide a file in /usr/share/xsessions/, which avoid the
duplication.  Since you are unwilling to point to a single menu-generated 
xsessions file that does not work, I will assume this is not an important
issue and kindly ask you to reinstate processing of
/var/lib/menu-xdg/xsessions/. If you still get bug report about the
/var/lib/menu-xdg/xsessions/ entries, please feel free to reassign them to
menu-xdg and I will deal with them.
