The icons that appears in the window list are set by applications
themselves, in a per-window fashion.

The icon that appears shortly is set by the startup notification
mechanism, and therefore matches the one in the desktop file.

The appropriate way to fix this would be to make eggsmclient set the
default window icon based on the one in the desktop file, but it is very
hard to achieve since session management is done per-application, while
icons must be set at the window level.

In all cases, you should discuss this with upstream. This is not the
kind of change we will introduce in Debian.
