Bug#588308: gnome-settings-daemon: Crashes (randomly) when closing an application

gnome-settings-daemon crashes from time to time, seems randomly, when closing
an application (for example, it crashed when I closed calibre ebook manager,
then
later it crashed when I closed LyX document editor). It seems that g-s-d is
more prone
to crash when an application has been opened for a long time (especially if
it's minimized
to notification area / tray).

It seems to be the very same bug which I reported on Ubuntu almost a month ago
for which I included a complete apport report if that's of any use:
