Package: gnome-power-manager
Version: 2.30.1-1
Severity: normal

The gnome power manager does not offer the option "do nothing" when closing
a laptop lid.

This option could be useful when one plugs a external monitor.

The problem is described here

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1306801

in the Ubuntu forums, and seems that this option was indedd available in
previous versions of this software.

Thought this option can still be enabled by using the gconf-editor
(Navigating to apps-->gnome-power-manager-->buttons and setting lid_ac and/or
lid_battery to "nothing" (without the quotes), as described in that web
page), this is certainly not very user friendly.

So please make gnome more usable by (re)nabling this option.
