I have a ThinkPad X201 with docking bay.
It is configured to suspend when I close the lid.
However, if the machine is connected to the external PSU
(either directly or through the dock) then, when it resumes
(ie. lid is opened), gnome-power-manager often reports a
value that seems to be one-tenth of the correct value.
For example, it may report 86.0% before suspend, and then
8.6% after resume.
Because the value is so low, the software will attempt to
power down the machine much too soon.
The value will be reset to the correct amount if the machine
is suspended again while running from battery.
I attach three additional copies of the bugreport script output.
gpbr.good = before suspend - values okay
gbpr.bad = after suspend from dock, then resume - wrong values
gbpr.goodagain = after remove from dock, suspend, then resume - values okay
About the only customisation I can think of that might be relevant is
that based on advice from the thinkwiki site I set in /etc/sysfs.conf:
