Package: update-manager-gnome
Version: 0.200.3-2
Severity: grave
File: /usr/bin/update-manager
Justification: renders package unusable
update-manager cstalls right after the GUI says "Downloading list of changes".
There is a message on the commalnd line:
ERROR:dbus.proxies:Introspect error on :1.2:/org/freedesktop/UpdateManagerObject: dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
The application does not respond to a simple kill command. When killed by force
and an additional [ctrl-c] is applied, the following message appears on stdout:

After I removed /var/lib/dpkg/lock an update with synaptic was fine.
