Package: cheese
Version: 2.30.1-1
Severity: minor
Hi,
I noticed that on my system the middle icon button ("Start recording"),
is not being found / displayed. On a console I saw this message:
** (cheese:10812): WARNING **: Couldn't load icon: Icon 'image-loading' not present in theme
See this screenshot for the missing icon:

I only had hicolor-icon-theme and oxygen-icon-theme (though that's only
relevant for KDE I guess) installed so far, after some research I did this:
apt-get install gnome-icon-theme
Afterwards, after a restart of cheese the icon is displayed correctly.
Not sure if cheese should depend / suggest / recommend that icon package
or a similar one. My system started from a minimal Debian install from
a netinst CD without any X related packages installed. I also have this
in my /etc/apt/apt.conf:
APT::Install-Recommends "false";
APT::Install-Suggests "false";
I.e. I don't automatically install recommends/suggest packages in order
to keep the system clean and small. Maybe something _does_ suggest/recommend
that icon package indirectly? If so, should the icon package not become
a hard dependency of cheese, as the package _does_ definately use one of
those icons?
Thanks, Uwe.
