We use a special software (ANSYS, FEM analysis). The software has a menu 
on the left. By clicking on that menu new menu items lay behind the main 
menu an comes up only by clicking on them. The normal behaviour is, that 
the new menu item are on top of the 'parent' menu. 

There are also some listings which are opened in a window which lays 
behind the graphics window. 

I send you a screen shot. By clicking on 'Create' in the 'Modeling' 
window the next one should be on the top of the window 'Modeling', but it 
lays behind.
