Package: gvfs
Version: 1.4.3-1
Severity: normal
Hello,
Removable drivers (only tried USB keys) do not mount anymore
in Gnome. Nothing happens automatically, and there's nothing
in nautilus I could click to mount the device.
I've been trying to fix this without success. I reinstalled
several packages, remove all mount configuration from the
gconf database, ...
When I plug a USB key, nothing happens and I finally see this
in .xsession-errors:
(nautilus:9233): GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitor-WARNING **: Owner :1.42 of volume monitor org.gtk.Private.GduVolumeMonitor disconnected from the bus; removing drives/volumes/mounts
If I unplug/replug, nothing appears.
If I ask Nautilus to open the computer, I get:
(nautilus:9233): Nautilus-GDU-WARNING **: unable to query info: L'emplacement indiqué n'est pas pris en charge
(nautilus:9233): GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitor-WARNING **: New owner :1.74 for volume monitor org.gtk.Private.GduVolumeMonitor connected to the bus; seeding drives/volumes/mounts
(nautilus:9233): GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitor-WARNING **: invoking List() failed for type GProxyVolumeMonitorGdu: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus)
and it only shows the main filesystem, nothing about the new
device.
In case it matters, gnome-mount works:
$ gnome-mount -vdb /dev/sdb1
gnome-mount 0.8
** (gnome-mount:9763): DEBUG: Mounting /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_uuid_1C10_7655
** (gnome-mount:9763): DEBUG: read default option 'shortname=lower' from gconf strlist key /system/storage/default_options/vfat/mount_options
** (gnome-mount:9763): DEBUG: read default option 'uid=' from gconf strlist key /system/storage/default_options/vfat/mount_options
** (gnome-mount:9763): DEBUG: Mounting /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_uuid_1C10_7655 with mount_point='', fstype='', num_options=2
** (gnome-mount:9763): DEBUG: option='shortname=lower'
** (gnome-mount:9763): DEBUG: option='uid=1000'
Mounted /dev/sdb1 at "/media/disk"
Things work fine on another machine running pretty much the
same setup, but I don't know where to look now...
