It could be better phrased “merge the patches in the package versions
they were diffed against”. But that's the idea.

ETA? In the meanwhile, I'm currently stuck because of the libstdc++
issue, so I can't do any testing of the resulting image yet… Debugging
latest upstream snapshots isn't exactly fun, if you ask me.

If we don't pull all of gnome 2.30, fine. But it really wouldn't be
fun to get entangled with anything unrelated to g-i udebs…

I really would like to be done with that push ASAP; plenty of X stuff
to do…
