Decoupling GNOME 2.30 transitions

Hi,

since GNOME 2.30 is the target for squeeze, there are a few remaining
transitions to set up. If we do them all at once, it will become an
awful nightmare and might delay the release, so they must be sequenced
in order.

*I urge anyone maintaining packages in the following lists to not upload
these packages to unstable without double-checking with the release team
and/or the GNOME team.*

Theoretically the libxklavier and gnome-desktop transitions are coupled,
but they can easily be decoupled with an intermediate upload of
gnome-settings-daemon.

The evince and totem-pl-parser transitions are coupled through
gnome-python-desktop.

Here is the order I propose. We can start this week with the release of
GNOME 2.30.0, supposing ftp-master gets back online and packages get out
of NEW. I’d appreciate if the release team could tell when we can start
to avoid stomping on other transitions.

1 - libxklavier (libxklavier15 → libxklavier16)

Sourceful uploads:
        gnome-settings-daemon (2.28+patch, not 2.30)
        libgnomekbd
        xfce4-settings
        xfce4-xkb-plugin

Binary NMUs:
        cairo-dock-plugins
        control-center
        gnome-applets
        gnome-screensaver
        kdebase-workspace
        xfkc

2 - gnome-desktop (libgnome-desktop-2-11 → libgnome-desktop-2-17)

Sourceful uploads:
        control-center
        gnome-settings-daemon
        nautilus

Binary NMUs:
        avant-window-navigator
        awn-extras-applets
        beagle
        cheese
        compiz
        deskbar-applet
        eog
        evolution
evolution-exchange (if evolution transition is done first)
        galeon
        gnome-applets
        gnome-desktop-sharp2
        gnome-launch-box
        gnome-main-menu
        gnome-panel
        gnome-python-desktop
        gnome-screensaver
        gnome-shell
        icewm
        libslab
        nautilus-open-terminal
        tracker

3 - totem-pl-parser (libtotem-plparser12 → libtotem-plparser17)
  + evince (libevince1 → libevince2)

Sourceful uploads:
        brasero
        evince
        gnome-python-desktop
        totem
        totem-pl-parser

Binary NMUs:
        rhythmbox
        tracker

4 - evolution & gtkhtml3.14

Sourceful uploads:
        evolution
        evolution-data-server
        evolution-exchange
        evolution-rss
        gtkhtml3.14

Binary NMUs (hopefully):
        balsa
        bibledit
        evolution-sharp
        gnotime
        gnucash
        libhildonhelp
        libopensync-plugin-evolution2
        libtinymail
        lua-gtk
        mail-notification
        modest
        multisync
        mysql-gui-tools
        taxbird
        xiphos
