Package: update-manager-gnome
Version: 0.200.3-1
Severity: normal

Hello, fellow Debianers. After an upgrade to update-manager-gnome, I get the
following message everytime I try to use the software (both from the menu and
from the upper panel): "The '/usr/share/update-
manager/bug_script/debian_reportbug.sh /tmp/update-manager-bugJr2yVf
/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.5/UpdateManager/Frontend/Gtk/ui.py /tmp/update-
manager-bugZCrpHk' program was started with the privileges of the fabricio user
without the need to ask for a password, due to your system's authentication
mechanism setup. It is possible that you are being allowed to run specific
programs as user fabricio without the need for a password, or that the password
is cached. This is not a problem report; it's simply a notification to make
sure you are aware of this." This message appears after I am asked for the
root's password (through gksu, I presume) and the program fails to do anything.
Sometimes I also get a message saying that it could not grab the mouse because
other application did it or someone might be eavesdropping my connection (I am
99,99% sure that is not the case). So this is more than a problem with the
reportbug section of the application, because it happens as a consequence of a
previous bug (apparently caused by a "no attribute treeview update", as seen
below). And as user privileges are involved, I decided to report this bug as
critical. Thanks and regards, Fabricio Rocha Brasilia, Brasil *** /tmp
