Bug#582126: nautilus: Using xrandr, desktop background is tiled on external display

If I use the following line :

xrandr --output VGA1 --auto

to set the resolution of my laptop's external display after logging in gnome
(nautilus handles the desktop background), my background image is tiled.

Using the configuration tool for the desktop background to set it, for example,
to "zoomed", doesn't change anything.

This was working some weeks before.
