Bug#571332: Upgrade to 3.1.0

Hi,

I'm the current maintainer, and I released 3.2.0 a while ago.
There should be a lot less dependencies on deprecated gnome libraries with
this version.
It would be great to get it packaged and tested for Debian and Ubuntu
