Bug#602949: Mutter 2.29/2.31 doesn't recognize real screen size properly

As you can read in this bug
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/cairo-dock-core/+bug/669650), cairo-dock and
other application (as conky) don't recognize screen proportion and size
properly.
I've tried also with metacity (unstable/v.1:2.30.1-3) and the same error
appears: only with compiz they work correctly.
