without understanding anything of gobject my guess is that the "sanity check" is insane 
and makes illegal assumptions about packaging of structs. Look at ArgBlob, it is probably
a struct with some member only 8 or 16 bit size. On nearly any other architecture this 
gets padded to 32 bits, on m68k minimum padding of struct members is 16 bits.

If thats is the case its a bug in the sanity check.
