Why? It doesn't make a difference if that somebody is logged in but not running
any power management software.

But it's that process that deals with the button event not the user.

I'm not trying to hack something to close the bug, I simply don't see a bug
here. If you do we should clone this bug report so the discussion goes back to
acpi-support as I've reassigned this report already.
