Package: gnome-power-manager
Version: 2.30.1-1
Severity: minor
File: /usr/bin/gnome-power-manager
As it is visual issue, it's best to descript on screenshots. I am
attaching an image made out of few screenshots, which presents this
issue.
1. This is Fluxbox's system tray. As you can see, between vertical line
and date there is some empty place. I'm using an laptop with AC adapter
plugged in, and battery physically taken out.
2. After clicking on it, an Preferences dialog is shown
3. In general tab, there is an radio buttons list about notification
area (or tray). As you can see, an icon should be displayed only when
battery is present. Since battery isn't present, there is no icon. It
seems to be okay, but...
4. After checking "Always display icon", an icon is shown
5. After switching it back to display icon only when battery is present,
not only icon disappears, but also that empty space is hidden.
So, couldn't it hid itself after running? It does it on GNOME (i.e. when
"only display an icon when a battery is present" option is checked,
after running g-p-m it does not take any place in system tray).
I'm not really sure if that bug report should be filled against g-p-m
package or fluxbox package.
Cheers
