Bug#595070: Attempting to uninstall evolution-data-server forces removal of gnome-core, gnome-panel, etc.

gnome-desktop-environment indeed depends on e-d-s, but gnome-panel and
gnome-core do not.

Try this: 
apt-get install gnome-panel gnome-session evolution-data-server-
(Don’t forget the - at the end.)
