Bug#621102: gnome-screensaver does not show unlock screen

I recently upgraded to experimental version of gnome-screensaver with gnome-shell and since then I have been facing this issue. After the configured idle time the screensaver gets activated, but when I want to unlock the screen no unlock dialog is shown. When I move the cursor or press some keys the desktop background flashes momentarily. To get back my desktop I login to a tty and kill the gnome-screensaver process. After this a new problem arises. The gnome-screensaver does not kick in after this. Even if I manually ask gnome to lock the screen the screen does not get locked.
