Package: gvfs
Version: 1.6.4-3
Severity: normal
I have a similar issue with a digital camera. This worked perfectly in Lenny,
but has been an issue ever since upgrading to Squeeze.
When I plug the camera in, Nautilus automounts and I get two identical windows
that open telling me that there is a camera plugged in plus one additional
window containing an error message that says, "Unable to mount Kodak
EasyShare CX74330 Zoom Digital Camera Error initializing camera: -60: Could
not lock the device"
When you open with gThumb, sometimes it reads the contents on the SD memory
card and sometimes it only reads the internal memory card of the camera
itself. I usually have to plug and unplug several times to get it to do what
I want.
Here is the output of what the previous poster listed.
When mounted in Nautilus:
steven at debtop:~$ gphoto2 --storage-info
*** Error ***
An error occurred in the io-library ('Could not lock the device'): Camera is already in use.
*** Error (-60: 'Could not lock the device') ***
When NOT mounted in Nautilus:
steven at debtop:~$ gvfs-mount -l

Another thing that is strange is that I tried to mount the camera with the
SD memory card removed to see if I would still get the two identical
windows mentioned above to still open, and my cameral didn't seem to be
recognized (I waited and no window opened telling me that I plugged in a
camera)
I am using 2.6.38 because the upgrade from 6.0 to 6.0.1 allowed a bug to enter
that made my mouse pointer invisible. The camera issue was also present with
the original Squeeze kernel (2.6.32)
All of the above issues were not present in Lenny. Everthing worked perfectly
Please let me know what additional info you need.
