Update:
I just noticed that waiting about 20-30 seconds the logout (or shutdown)
window eventually becomes responsive and I'm able to logout and shutdown
normally.
I have the following lines in .xsession-errors:
(gdu-notification-daemon:4298): libgdu-WARNING **: unhandled property
'DeviceAutomountHint'
NOTE: child process received `Goodbye', closing down
/usr/share/themes/Shiki-Brave/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:126: Murrine configuration
option "gradients" is no longer supported and will be ignored.
** (gnome-panel:4240): WARNING **: Could not ask session manager to shut
down: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote
application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy
blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection
was broken.

Window manager warning: Received a _NET_WM_MOVERESIZE message for
0x1e00005 (paolo at satu); these messages lack timestamps and therefore suck.
