Bug#638414: gnome-terminal: Anomalous behaviour when SSHing to virtual box's guest machine, running on a bridged adaptor (automatic tab title change)

Hello,
Normally when you SSH to a remote system, the respective tab's title changes automatically to username at host after sucessful authentication.
But this does not seem to happen when you ssh to a virtual box guest machine whose network card is attached to the host's bridged adaptor.
Both the host and guest are running debian sid and has been noticed consistently through multiple sid updates.

Steps to reproduce
On the machine running virtual box
(a) Install virtual box
(b) Create a guest OS, whose network card is attached to the host's bridged adaptor.
(c) Install and run guest OS
(d) SSH to guest OS as you would ssh to a machine on a LAN/WAN
(e) Watch the tab tile does not change automatically, even after you sucessfully authenticate on the "remote machine".

>From an another (Ubuntu 9.04) machine running on the same LAN
(a) SSH to machine running virtual box (Virtual box Host), tab's title automatically changes to user at host after sucessful authentication via SSH.
(b) SSH to Virtual box's guest OS connected to host's brige adaptor (all machines mentioned in this report get their ip from the same DHCP server) and watch the tab *not* automatically change its title.
