2 Grave bugs of gnome-screensaver

Hi all,
     It seems gnome-screensaver has been forgotten or something. There
was a release of the 2.30.x series in January in unstable and nothing
after that. There is/was a release of gnome-screensaver 3.0.x series
in April by Raphael Hertzog and nothing after that.

 While there is nothing I can do about that what is disturbing are the
two grave bugs which have been reported but they have neither been
confirmed nor denied by the maintainer.

I am especially concerned about bug #623744 which would make it
awfully hard for me to use the desktop in any meaningful way.

Maybe it might be a case MMIA (Maintainer Missing in Action) ?

Could somebody atleast investigate the 2.30.x grave bug and see if it
can be resolved in anyway or make the move to 3.0.x and work that bug
out. (# 626544)

Looking forward for some sort of guidance.
