Bug#652008: gnome-terminal: lock up after medium period with much output

I have repeatedly tried to run a unit test suite in a gnome-terminal, which
produces a great deal of output to the terminal in a short period of time. On a
fairly frequent basis, gnome-terminal inexplicably hangs during this output.

Rerunning the suite in an xterm works perfectly.
