I also upgraded from lenny to squeeze. When I try opening one of the *-admin
programs, this shows up in auth.log:
Jan 8 13:54:48 powerbook dbus-daemon: [system] Rejected send message, 4
matched rules; type="method_call", sender=":1.80" (uid=1000 pid=4104
comm="users-admin) interface="org.freedesktop.SystemToolsBackends.Platform"
member="getPlatform" error name="(unset)" requested_reply=0
destination="org.freedesktop.SystemToolsBackends" (uid=0 pid=3822
comm="/usr/sbin/system-tools-backends))
Also:
> Is there a process like this one started?
> /usr/bin/perl
> /usr/share/system-tools-backends-2.0/scripts/SystemToolsBackends.pl -m
> TimeConfig
>
$ ps aux | grep system-tools-backends
root 3822 0.0 0.2 6656 2580 ? S 13:54 0:00
/usr/sbin/system-tools-backends
sudoman 8462 0.0 0.0 3648 864 pts/0 S+ 14:02 0:00 grep
system-tools-backends
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any more information.
